Hi, I'm Kelly Kultala and I am running for the Kansas Senate because I believe voters in the 5th District
want a change and deserve a choice when voting for Democratic representation. And the time for change is now.
Democratic representation for Topeka is weak in the 5th District. We have not done enough when it comes to important issues
such as education for our youth, health care, and jobs for all of our citizens.
As former commissioner for the Unified Government/KCK, I have shown that I can bring economic development and revitalize our
communities. I am proud of the success we have had in Kansas City Kansas with Village West and the Kansas Speedway, and I
believe my skills can further bring economic growth and prosperity to all communities within the 5th district.
As former board member for the Piper School Board I have shown my commitment to education for our children. We need to bring
money that not only goes towards education but actually gets to the classrooms and our students where it is needed most.
I am proud to have been born in Leavenworth, Kansas and to live in Kansas City, Kansas. Living in western Wyandotte County I
realize the issues that are important to Kansas City, Kansas, Leavenworth, Lansing and Bonner Springs affect all of us.
Working together we can bring change we can believe in, to our entire community and Democrats can be stronger than ever in
the 5th District. I pledge my commitment to you and I promise to be your voice in Topeka. I ask for your vote on November
4th, 2008."
